We received a nice shipment of Jack and Lily 'My Shoes', several sizes, different prints. Alex was very happy with the pair that we bought for him, so we decided to add them to the cart.
We will bring the shoes to the Baby Boom show this weekend and after that, whatever is left will be in the cart shortly.

See what's new this fall at A Mother's Touch
Wow - September is here and summer weather has finally arrived in Eastern Ontario. With the arrival of September, we have some great new changes at A Mother's Touch.
First of all, I'd like to take this chance to welcome the new owners of A Mother's Touch and introduce you to them - Monique & Mark will be taking over at the helm of A Mother's Touch effective immediately.
Monique & Mark are the proud parents of one year old Alex who is the cutie modelling the DiaperWorks diapers in our online store. Monique visited our home showroom with Alex when he was just a few days old and has been cloth diapering him since then.
Monique has been always willing to lend a hand and for locals, you may have already met Monique at one of the local shows. She was also a huge help this summer allowing me to get away with my family for an extended vacation for the first time in several years.
What does this mean to you? First of all, you should notice no changes apart from possibly now receiving correspondence or speaking with a diapering dad (Mark) instead of just a diapering mom. You will still find one of the largest selections of in stock cloth diapers & a fun selection of green products for the whole family in Eastern Ontario. Our "Test Drive" programme will be back in full force in September and Cloth Diaper 101 workshops will be starting up again beginning September 13th and October 4th, so sign up early to guarantee a spot.
For those of you locally in Eastern Ontario, the showroom is presently in transition but will reopen after the Baby Boom show, however pickups will continue during the transition. All customers with outstanding pickups for orders before August 30th have been emailed already. For all new orders (August 30th and after): Monique is the gal to talk to. Pick-ups for those orders will be our new location at 25 Boulder Way in Barrhaven.

We hated to do it folks but with increased shipping costs coming down to us at both ends (bringing in the products you love and shipping them out to you), we have had to increase our shipping rates by 10%. You will notice these changes effective immediately.

Fuzzi Bunz in all sizes are back in stock!
We have great news - our most recent order of Fuzzi Bunz has finally arrived and we have spent the day counting and updating the site and they are all ready to ship. Please note that the manufacturer instituted a price increase May 15th which is now reflected in our pricing.
We have also had to increase the price of this item and several others in our store slightly to cover the significant increase in shipping costs from our various suppliers.

We have recently added a calendar with our customer service hours and pick up hours for local customers. Please click on the Our Hours tab in the upper right corner of the store.
Our online is open 24/7 throughout the year to serve you best however with young children in the home, we have had to rework some hours so that we are focused on the business and at others, we are focused on our families.
We will continue to ship Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. If there is no shipping on a particular day, we will be marking this on our calendar.
And although we have posted "hours", we are not restricted to these hours and you will often find us replying to email late in the evenings or early in the a.m. before family commitments can get in the way. However, this calendar will give you an idea of what's happening & when.

March Madness at A Mother's Touch
WOW! March has sure roared in like a lion here in Ottawa. We've had freezing rain, ice pellets and a good foot of fresh snow since Monday alone. This has slowed our shipping (inbound & outbound) as a result however we anticipate having all orders placed up to Mar 3rd out the door tomorrow (Thursday). We appreciate your patience while we catch up (and shovel out)!

If you're starting to think about Spring Cleaning, consider changing your cleaning supplies to a healthier, more environmentally friendly option. We have Allens Naturally products in stock with more en route for mid-March delivery including Automatic Dishwashing Detergent, Dishwashing Liquid, Glass Cleaner, Fruit & Veggie Wash and the always popular laundry detergents. Lastly, during the month of March, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to Easter Seals (a charity that is very close to both Tasha & I). Above & beyond the portion of our proceeds, we will be doing our own version of the Easter Seals Paper Egg campaign. Funds raised during the Paper Egg Campaign go towards funding of
essential communication and mobility equipment such as wheelchairs,
walkers, braces and communication devices, Easter Seals camps, and
funding of recreational choices such as day camps, swimming and art
classes. If you would like to buy a "Virtual" paper egg, you will find them on the Home page of our store. Each egg costs $2.00 and all moneys collected will go directly to Easter Seals.
Please note that March Break is in full swing locally from March 10-14th and we will be working somewhat reduced hours during this period.
