We've
been selling Fuzzi Bunz and many other brands of cloth diapers since
2003 and while we took a short break in 2006, we re-opened again for
business as of April 1st, 2007.
We are pleased to announce the addition of our 3rd location: Merrickville, ON which will allow us to serve families in the Kemptville, Brockvillle, Prescott, Smiths Falls and Perth area!
Or
if you'd prefer to see some of our products first hand, visit our storefront location. We have a booth in The General Store Amaze (across from the lottery booth) at the
Merivale Mall in Ottawa, Ontario. Please note that we are doing an inventory in Janary and only diapering accessories & baby products will be in our booth during this time. Watch for lots of diapers starting February 1st!
Or please contact us for an in-home consultation (either in our homes, in Barrhaven or Merrickville or yours!).

Jennie is the mom of 4 children: 8 yr old twins Matthew & Andrew, 4 yr old fireball Charlie and
"Diaper Diva" Maggie who joined the family in July 2005. When son
Charlie was born in February 2003, we decided to try cloth diapering
again after a disastrous start with the twins (we tried prefolds &
covers with extremely premature and sickly infants) - since 1999 when
the twins were born, cloth diapering has sure come a long way! We tried
a few different brands in Charlie's early days settling on the ease of
Fuzzi Bunz. Supported by her very patient husband Bill, Jennie started
working with Fuzzi Bunz in July 2003 as their first Canadian rep in the
now defunct MAD (Make a Difference) Program. Due to large numbers of
sales, it was recommended to her by ownership that she should consider
her own retail store, Jennie opened A Mother's Touch in October 2003.
Jennie
met Tasha in 1999 in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) where her
twins were cared for after their premature delivery at 29 weeks due to
Twin-to-Twin-Transfusion Syndrome - a rare malfunction in the shared
placenta of identical twins. Tasha's son Grayson was to be the twins'
room mate for the next 2 months after his premature birth at 26 weeks
gestation. All 3 boys made the doctors and nurses earn their pay during
their extended stays and Tasha & Jennie remained friends - heck,
after that much life & death, shared bonding time while pumping
breast milk for the boys, learning how to nurse a 2 lb baby with a 4 lb
breast (hahahaha) and more, how could they not stay friends?
Tasha
and Tim are the proud parents of two dynamic children. Tim is Gray's
"daddy Tim" and Ady's "da da". Grayson was born March 1999 at 26+5
weeks gestation weighing 1 pound 7oz due to a true knott in his cord
and Adyson was born August 2005 at 29+2 weeks gestation, weighing 2
pounds 9oz due to pre-eclampsia complications.
Having
had a few years between children due to breast cancer and a bilateral
mastectomy, Tasha and Tim were pleasantly surprised by the "new and
improved" world of cloth diapers as shown to them by "Auntie Jennie".
The nurses at the NICU in Gatineau, QC, Canada were amazed by Adyson's
cute little Itty Bitty Buns that Auntie J gave her in celebration her
arrival. They were tiny enough to fit a 3 pounder, gentle on her
delicate skin, ever so soft and PINK!!!
With an
exciting move in Tim's career taking them travelling throughout Canada
and the USA. Tasha was overjoyed when Jennie offered her the oportunity
to become part of A Mother's Touch and open a franchise location.
Jennie and Tasha through friendship and motherhood have shared so much
that this partnership is a "perfect fit".
