| Current cloth diapers have little in common with the cloth diapers of yore. High-tech and soft fabrics, high absorbency, easy to use and easy to wash, the cloth diapers of now are something many young mothers look into. However, they are often scared away by the unfamiliarity with the products, the many choices and the perceived complexity of using cloth diapers.
This was definitely true for Monique. When Alex was born she was searching to find the best care for her baby, taking into account his sensitive skin and her busy schedule while also keeping an eye out for the environment. Monique found A Mother’s Touch on-line and started asking questions. Jennie, the founder, was patient, took the time to assist Monique, walked her through the different offerings and answered the many questions patiently. Monique, assisted by her husband Mark, has been using a mix of different cloth diapers on Alex.
The relationship between Monique and Jennie quickly developed into a friendship, and when Jennie mentioned that she was looking to sell A Mother’s Touch around it’s 5th anniversary, Monique figured that this was a great way to work from home and still take care of Alex. On August 30, 2008 the business transitioned from Jennie into Monique’s care.
Under Jennies direction the company has evolved from diapering-products only, to include other baby-related products, from nursing necklaces, to shoes, to slings to teething toys. Monique will continue to build on this success with the focus on natural products that Monique, Mark and most importantly Alex enjoy and that are friendly on the environment.
We hope that you enjoy our assortment of products and we look forward to helping mothers in Canada provide for their young ones. We appreciate your feedback on the products that we offer as well as suggestions for products that you would like to see us carry in the future.
Best regards,
Mark, Monique, Alex
